Having already beaten many of his rivals he’s set to face this weekend, including Captain Guinness, Edwardstone and Boothill, Jonbon looks a comfortable winner if he’s in the same form this time out.
Jonbon has only been beaten by one rival over fences since making the switch from hurdles last year.
And that was to the Willie Mullins-trained El Fabiolo at Cheltenham Festival in the Arkle, which goes to show Jonbon’s current level.
Jonbon shaped as though he had improved even further over the summer break, when seen for the first time this season beating Edwardstone by over nine lengths and justified a short 4/9 price, which he might have to do again this weekend.
There’s so many races in the lead up to the Tingle Creek Chase too, with Constitution Hill facing the rearranged Fighting Fifth Hurdle.
And JPR One making his third run over fences after a disastrous mistake at the last fence at Cheltenham last month.
He’s a promising novice chaser who was upped 11lb for that performance despite not even finishing the race and so is fancied to win against his six rivals in the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase Grade 1 at 1.50pm.
