Dokic’s bestselling first book, Unbreakable, traced her difficult journey as a rising young tennis player under the tutelage of her allegedly violent and abusive father.
Taking to Instagram to announce the release of Fearless, Dokic said her second book would be about how to find hope “when all is lost”.
“Here it is! So excited to announce my second book titled FEARLESS,” she wrote.
“And here is a little sneak peek at what it’s about.
“How do you find hope when all is lost?
“How do you find strength when you feel broken?
“How do you find your voice when you feel worthless and scared?”
The former world No.4 shared the book’s blurb with her followers, noting that Fearless follows on from Unbreakable’s story of overcoming “adversity, poverty and violence” to rise to the top of the tennis world.
“Fearless is about how you reclaim life when all feels lost,” the blurb states.
“It’s about learning to reach out for help and healing.
“It’s about speaking up and the power of sharing our stories.
“In past years Jelena has dealt with disordered eating and reclaimed her body; she has stood up to body shaming and online abuse.
“She has faced her mental health demons head-on to find stability in the chaos of life.
“She has endured a devastating relationship breakdown.
“This book is about starting at the bottom and building yourself back up.
“Jelena opens up on how she has survived trauma and heartache to establish herself as a leading tennis commentator and motivational speaker.”
Dokic concluded: “Can’t wait for you all to read it.”
Her fans went wild over the news that she was releasing another book.
“Perfect title for the book and you personally 💪 Congrats, Jelena!” one follower wrote.
“How exciting Jelena! Can’t wait to read,” wrote another.
“Always inspiring,” said a third.
“You make this world a better place for being in it,” one fan added.
“Thank you for all that you do and for being a voice for the voiceless.”
Fearless is published on September 12 and available to pre-order.
In other news, Dokic also recently unveiled a surprise new role as an ambassador for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Late last week it was announced that she had been designated a Beyond Greatness Champion for Australia and New Zealand – part of a group of inspirational trailblazers who represent the best of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand across sport, entertainment, media, arts, politics and business.
Dokic said she was “over the moon” about the new role.
“I am incredibly excited and honoured to announce that I am an ambassador and a ‘Beyond Greatness Champion’ for the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 that will be held here in Australia and New Zealand from July 20,” she wrote on Instagram.
“There’s something so special about a home crowd and I can’t wait to get amongst it to cheer on the world’s best and especially the Aussies in just 50 days time.
“Get ready to go #BeyondGreatness. More to come very soon.”
Dokic joins Channel 7’s Mel McLaughlin, who will also support and promote the World Cup across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
