Billy Horschel didn’t golf too well Saturday in the Round of 16 of the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin Country Club. He did, however, go viral on social media due to his never-before-seen manner of picking up the ball.
Horschel, 36, used his putter to scoop the ball up and then twirled the golf club as the ball stayed suspended in midair.
He has fans questioning reality, unable to comprehend how Horschel pulled off the move, and claiming it could be fake.
The official Twitter account of the PGA Tour shared the clip with the caption: “This is a new one.”
Horschel’s bitter end to his run in Austin finds its silver lining in this incredible moment that displays his technical ability.
