Garner, N.C. — The Garner Trojans defeated the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs, 79-63 in the Greater Neuse River conference championships Friday night.
The Bulldogs won the entertaining first quarter leading 18-17.
From the tip-off to the final buzzer, the Trojans kept the energy high. Trojans’ leading scorer was Jr. Chris Crudup who finished with 15 points.
Crudup set the tone for his team with a first-quarter fast-break one-handed flush.
It was a dunk fest for both teams, In the second quarter, Bulldog, So. Nas Gibbs created a highlight play by intercepting a pass by Keaton Bloms and knocking down a crowd-roaring dunk.
The leading scorer for the Bulldogs was So. Jon Robinson finished with 16 points. Robinson was all over the court on the offensive, providing rebounds, converting clean looks and second-chance points.
