SYDNEY, N.S. — Two Cape Breton women are heading directly to the quarter finals in the Ms. Health and Fitness 2023 contest and one is in the wildcard round.
Mya Sack, 24, of Eskasoni finished second in her group in the top 10 round which resulted in her getting a spot in the wildcard group. There are three in the group and the contestant with the most votes gets to move on to the quarter finals.
Currently first in the wildcard group, Sack got into fitness about four years ago as a way to improve her physical and mental health. Along with losing about 100 pounds (45 kilograms), Sack said her depression symptoms improved and she has stopped needing medication to treat it.
This is the first time she’s entered the contest, which she learned about through Facebook posts.
Voting for the wildcard round ends Sunday (June 11) at 11 p.m. AST (7 p.m. PST). The link to vote for Sack is https://mshealthandfitness.com/2023/mya-sack .
