Harry Brook can’t be stopped.
The 24-year-old brought up his fourth Test century at Wellington’s Basin Reserve on Friday afternoon to rescue England on day one of the second Test against New Zealand.
He only needed 107 deliveries to reach the milestone, guiding England to 3-237 at tea.

England was in dire straits in the morning session, crumbling to 3-21 on a green seamer offering plenty for the seamers. Black Caps paceman Matt Henry removed Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope in quick succession before Michael Bracewell held onto a screamer at third slip to send Ben Duckett packing.
Brook joined former captain Joe Root in the middle, with the duo combining for an unbeaten 216-run partnership to revive the innings and put England in a dominant position at tea.
Since making his Test debut last year, Brook has plundered 759 runs in six matches, averaging 94.87 with the bat. His most impressive feat has arguably been maintaining a blistering strike rate of 98.06 in England whites.
Brook joins an illustrious list of six cricketers who scored four centuries in their first nine Test innings – George Headley, Sunil Gavaskar, Vinod Kambli, Herbert Sutcliffe and Everton Weekes.
“He will go on to be a global superstar,” England captain Ben Stokes said last week.
“He‘s one of those rare players that you look across all formats and you can just see him being successful everywhere. It’s a massive shout, but Virat Kohli is one of those guys where his technique is just so simple and works everywhere.”
Brook has won Player of the Match in England’s three previous Tests, and the right-hander is seemingly on track to make it four in a row.
