Radio Jamaica Sports understands that there are doubts over the future of Jimmy Adams as the Director of Cricket at Cricket West Indies (CWI).
Adams who was first appointed in 2017, had his contract renewed in 2020, but with that to expire on June 30, it is understood that the former West Indies captain is yet to be notified about a future role.
Under Adams’ tenure the West Indies senior men’s team got eliminated in the first round of the 2019 50 over World Cup and had a super 12 exit at the 2021 T20 World Cup while being eliminated in the qualifiers last year.
The women’s teams have two semi-final finishes during Adams’ tenure while only being good enough for the first round of consecutive T20 World Cups.
When quizzed on Monday afternoon, CWI president Dr Kishore Shallow said a decision will be made and communicated to the media possibly by the end of this week.
