Emirates has agreed a new codeshare partnership with Greek carrier Aegean.
The arrangement, which takes effect from October 2022, will allow Emirates customers to benefit from increased connectivity covering Aegean flights from Athens to eight domestic destinations in Greece.
Emirates will place its code on Aegean services from Athens to Corfu, Chania, Heraklion, Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Thessaloniki and Alexandroupoli.
Under the deal, Aegean will also put its code on Emirates flights between Dubai and Athens. Emirates currently operates 12 weekly flights to Athens.
The agreement means that Emirates now has codeshare agreements with more than 26 other airlines, as well as two rail operators and 110 interline partners.
