Frasers Group, the company behind Sports Direct and House of Fraser, has completed the acquisition of the final brand which forms part of its deal with JD Sports.
In December 2022, the company purchased JD Sports Fashion’s interests in a raft of fashion brands in a deal worth up to £47.5m, including Base Childrenswear, Choice, Clothingsites (including Brown Bag Clothing), Cricket, Giulio, Kids Cavern, Missy Empire, Nicholas Deakins, Pretty Green, Prevu Studio, Rascal Clothing, Tessuti (including Xile), Scotts, Watch Shop and Topgrade Sportswear (including Get The Label).
Completion of the acquisition of eight of the businesses and the debt took place on exchange. Five of the remaining seven (Cricket, Tessuti, Scotts, Giulio and Choice) joined the Shirebrook-headquartered group in February.
Frasers Group has now completed the takeover of Topgrade Sportswear (including Get The Label) from its founders and JD Sports Fashion.
The purchase of the Rascal Clothing brand will no longer proceed.
Numis and Liberium are advising Frasers Group.
