Blizzard has revealed when Bastion and Torbjörn will make their long-awaited full returns to Overwatch 2. The loveable omnic was pulled from the game completely on October 10 so that Blizzard could address a significant bug with their Ultimate, Configuration: Artillery. The Swedish engineer was taken out of Competitive Play on the same day due to an issue with his Overload ability.
The two heroes should be fully available again on October 25, when Blizzard rolls out its next patch. We’re expecting a targeted balance change for Zarya to arrive then too so that she’s not completely unkillable in Total Maybem. Meanwhile, Blizzard has pulled Junkertown from all modes due to a bug that was causing graphics performance issues. The map should be back on October 25th as well.
Normally, Bastion can fire three artillery shells anywhere on the map within eight seconds. However, the bug allowed players to effectively fire as many shells as they wanted for the duration of the Ultimate. As for Torbjörn, players were able to get two uses out of Overload before the cooldown was triggered. It looks like Team 4 has resolved those issues, and the two heroes should soon be back in action after spending two weeks on the bench.
