Coach Joe Glass Hickory High school coach, a lot of talent coming back from last season, a really good J V team as well. Um, where do you think things stand as far in the spring? I mean, so far we’re doing well. Our kids are working hard. They, they bought in, um, you know, they, they’re given everything we got our, we have a ton of kids that play multiple sports. So we’ve got baseball, lacrosse and, and, uh, track going on. So we’re, I mean, we’re, we’re averaging 30 for skilled kids on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11. So we had 28 this past weekend, so close to 30. So, I mean, the kids doing great, um, you know, are here. We’ve got 15, you know, linemen every day at, at, we do that on Mondays and Wednesdays and that’s mostly varsity kids. So, um, you know, I, I, I can’t complain. They’re, they’re doing everything I asked me to do. So, um, a lot of starts back from varsity really good JB teams as well. You’ve been a part of a lot of different teams. A lot of good teams. Um, where is this one? Stack up in terms of the, I’ve never had a team that I feel like can be this talented as young early. Um, you know, having some good teams, you know, I kind of inherited some too, but, you know, this, this group here, you know, you, uh, the, the group of sophomores we have that are coming through are, are a special group. Um, and then you add the, the kids that we’ve got that are gonna be the seniors next year. You know, we’re, we’re looking for big things and have big expectations for, um, what’s gonna be the main point of focus from now through the rest of the off season here by the time you get to August, what do you want to be different? Um, you know, I just want our kids to just keep improving, uh, you know, they, they, they’ve made steady improvements all the time, you know, like, like right now I’m interviewing with you and I can see through the window and there’s not any kids playing around, they’re all doing what they gotta do and they’re lifting and, you know, so we don’t want them robotic, but we also want them to, to understand the grind and do what they gotta do. You know, just the, the maturity process of coming from sophomore to juniors, that’s, that’s gonna be our biggest thing is that maturity and can we get hit in the mouth and, and take a, uh, take something negative and, and not fall apart, you know, and, you know, your seniors are normally able to do that, but a lot of times you’re underclassmen aren’t. So, I think that’ll be big for us. Um, you know, and, and I, I don’t, I don’t really think there’s anything else that, that I, I’m worried about more than just that maturity process with our kids. All right. Uh, last question, tell me about Brady, your quarterback. Uh, he had the interesting season last year. We broke the collarbone and this few games, but, uh, he’s an impressive player when he’s, when he’s healthy. Yeah. Uh I mean, he’s, he’s fun to watch. Like I said, he, um, uh I’ve never had a quarterback that by the time we get out, we, we don’t even get done, cleaned up. He’s already called and told us, you know what he’s done wrong in the game. He’s already went home and watched film. Um I opened away from 6 30 in the morning, he’s here every time because he’s, uh, one of those A P kids. Um, he’s probably one of the most locked in players I’ve ever had from top to bottom at all times. Um You know, he just, just fun kid to watch like, you know, love seeing him throw the ball. Um Smart, I think the kids believe in him and follow him and you know, and, and he, he’s just like I said, he’s, he’s gonna be fun to watch this year. All right, coach, appreciate the time. Uh, best of luck this off season. Best luck next season. Thank you.
