You can snag an Overwatch 2 Legendary skin for Winston for free.
It’s time for Overwatch 2’s first seasonal event and since it’s late October, of course we’re talking about Halloween Terror. There’s a new take on Junkenstein’s Revenge, and there are also new and old cosmetics to snap up. In fact, you’ll be able to unlock one of the returning seasonal skins for free.
You’ll get the Werewolf Winston (Legendary) skin and a Werewolf Winston spray just by having a Twitch stream open for a few hours. You don’t actually have to watch the stream, but in doing so you may pick up a few tricks from skilled players.
You will need to connect your Battle.net to Twitch to earn the rewards. I’ve put together a guide on how to do that here:
Watch two hours of Twitch channels that are live in the Overwatch 2 category before 2PM ET on November 1 to earn the Werewolf Winston spray. Watch for four hours in total and you’ll get the skin too.
Remember that watch time accumulates, so you can switch to another channel without losing your progress. You don’t need to watch all at once either. As long as you watch four hours of eligible streams over the next week, you’ll get the skin (unless you’ve previously unlocked it, of course).
Bear in mind that only players in certain regains are eligible for the drops. Participating locales include North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Also, note that if you log into Overwatch 2 between now and Season 1 ending on December 6, you’ll receive the Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary Skin and a Health Pack Weapon Charm for free. These were two of the freebies Blizzard is offering players in an attempt to make up for the major launch problems. Meanwhile, play Overwatch 2 matches this weekend and you’ll earn double XP.
