JASON R. FRAS
Aug. 16, 1974 – Sept. 16, 2023
Jason R. Fras passed away Sept. 16, 2023, in Maple Ridge Township, at the age of 49.
Born in Flint, on Aug. 16, 1974, Jason was a man of simple pleasures, whose love for his family, his dogs, and nature defined his life. Jason was the cherished son of Karen Fras and the late Michael Fras.
He leaves behind his daughter, Monica Fras, and his grandson, Grady Fras. Jason also leaves behind his loving brother, Doug (Kristy) Fras, and his caring sisters, Amanda (Terry) McKenzie and Bridget Fras (Erik Ewing). His nieces, Kelsey and Kayla Fras, Brooke and Lilly McKenzie, Ava Ewing, and nephew, Gavin Ewing, will remember their Uncle Jason with fondness.
Jason’s love for his dogs, Marley and Abby, was evident to all who knew him. He took great joy in walking with them in the woods, an activity that combined his love for his pets with his passion for nature. These walks allowed Jason to appreciate the beauty of the world around him and provided him with a sense of peace and tranquility. An avid deer hunter, Jason found solace in the quiet of the woods. His hunting trips were not just about the chase, but also about immersing himself in the natural world. He had a deep respect for nature and the creatures that inhabited it. His hunting experiences were also a time for introspection, where he could reflect on life and find his inner calm.
Jason has been taken for cremation with no services planned at this time. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
