The 11th annual Johnson-Toney Football Camp is set for June 27-30 for ages 9-14 at Monterey Peninsula College, and July 25-28 for ages 15-17 at Rabobank Stadium in Salinas.
The camp is designed to promote healthy competition for athletes of all abilities. Campers will test their skills and learn about the game of football.
Anthony Toney is a former North Salinas and Hartnell College tailback that spent five years with the Philadelphia Eagles, while Ron Johnson played at Monterey High and MPC before embarking on a CFL and NFL career as a receiver for the Eagles.
The non-contact camp remains free, with lunch being provided daily for campers. Deadline to register is June 24 for the 9-14 camp, and July 22 for the 15-17 camp. More information can be obtained from the Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County.
