Riddle emerged as one of WWE’s most prominent stars, known for his quirky and carefree persona. Despite his comedic gimmick, he possessed the potential to ascend to the ranks of WWE’s top stars, akin to irreverent former world champions like Daniel Bryan and Rob Van Dam.

Riddle’s WWE Championship match against Roman Reigns, which aired on June 17, 2022, during SmackDown, drew impressive viewership numbers, surpassing 2.5 million viewers for its quarter-hour slot. This remarkable figure even outshone the opening quarter-hour featuring Vince McMahon, fresh from hush money allegations. Notably, it also eclipsed Reigns’ previous TV world title matches against Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens.
Riddle’s persona lent itself well to being a foil for an array of tough opponents with unusual pairings. Whether it was Butch (known as Pete Dunne in NXT), Timothy Thatcher, Drew McIntyre, or most notably, Randy Orton as part of the tag team RK-Bro, Riddle showcased his versatility.
