NEW YORK and MILAN, May 30, 2023 — Alpitour, Italy’s leading travel and organized vacation brand, has embarked on a significant digital transformation to support its business strategies by relying on Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, to modernize its IT environment with cloud and automation services and solutions.
The long-standing collaboration between the two companies has been renewed through 2027 and was recently reinforced with a series of milestones initiated with the migration of midrange IT systems to Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services, and with the use of a “pay as you go” model capable of enabling Alpitour’s business advantages in terms of flexibility, security, scalability and cost optimization.
The consumption of innovative cloud services managed by Kyndryl is facilitated via automation and an integrated dashboard that, in a self-service logic, will provide Alpitour with a catalog of services to choose from in order to adopt, quickly, new technologies according to a defined and secure chain of approval.
Not only that: this phase of the project also aims to modernize Alpitour’s employee experience using digital workplace services in a “zero touch delivery” perspective. It will minimize the manual intervention required by the user through a configuration that takes place directly in the factory, while technical support is enhanced, centralized and remotely provided.
