DAYTON — A man drove his SUV into a local Dayton business and drove away before officers arrived Saturday overnight.

At 1:35 a.m., Dayton Police and Fire responded to reports of a vehicle into a business at the 500 block of Wayne Avenue, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch confirmed to News Center 7.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a Chevy Traverse crashed into the business with no occupant inside, dispatch informed. Officers believed the suspect ran from the scene before they arrived.
Police actively searched for a white male, who was thought to have been driving the car, dispatch said. There were no other descriptors of the suspect.
