Men’s Basketball Adds Roddie Anderson – Boise State University Athletics

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men’s basketball has announced the addition of point guard Roddie Anderson. Anderson (Huntington Beach, Calif./UC San Diego) joins the program as a transfer from UC San Diego – where he earned All-Big West honorable mention honors as a freshman this past season. Anderson is rated as one of the top available point guards in the transfer portal according to On3.

UC SAN DIEGO CAREER

AS A FRESHMAN (2022-23): Led all Big West freshmen in scoring with 15.8 points per game in conference play…led the Tritons with 3.6 assists per game, also averaged 3.8 rebounds per game…eclipsed 20 points in each of the final three games of the season…made 27 starts while playing in all 30 games.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER

A 2022 graduate of Fountain Valley High School in Fountain Valley…two-time Sunset League MVP…three-time first-team All-Sunset League selection…two-time All-LA District first team selection…led the Barons to a Sunset League title.

PERSONAL

Son of Kelly and Roddie Anderson…father played basketball at Utah State…mother played softball at Utah State…has three siblings: older sister Telisah, older brother Kyndle and young sister Jaiden.
