After a strong performance in a very plus matchup against the Thunder, I’m back to fading Pascal Siakam on his points, rebounds and assists (PRA) line.
Before his 47 PRA outburst on Thursday, Siakam failed to clear this line in seven consecutive games. With a fully healthy Raptors squad that’s added big man Jakob Poeltl, Toronto hasn’t had the need to force feed Siakam the volume he was getting earlier this season.
And the matchup versus the Timberwolves marks a tougher spot for Siakam. He’ll likely see a good amount of both Jaden McDaniels and Kyle Anderson – the pair rate in the 91st and 98th percentile of defensive estimates plus-minus, respectively (per Dunks and Threes).
Rudy Gobert and Anthony Edwards’ availability don’t factor much into how I’m projecting Siakam’s production (both are questionable to play). I have Siakam pegged for 31 PRA, and would play this line down to under 34.5 PRA.
