Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch is gearing up for a new venture that will take him from the football field to the silver screen.
The charismatic athlete, known for his powerful running style and entertaining press conferences, has been cast in an upcoming comedy movie titled “Bottoms.”
Lynch, who retired from the NFL a few years ago after a successful 13-season career, has made a name for himself both on and off the field. While his football accolades include being a Super Bowl champion and a five-time Pro Bowler, it’s his larger-than-life personality that has endeared him to fans worldwide.
Now, he’s ready to bring that charm to the world of acting.
The premise of the movie “Bottoms” centers around two high school students who are unpopular and identify as queer. In a bid to have a memorable experience before their graduation, they decide to start a fight club. The comedy promises to deliver a mix of humor and relatable coming-of-age moments.
Lynch won’t be alone in this cinematic endeavor. The film also features a talented cast, including Ayo Edebiri, known for her work in “The Bear,” Rachel Sennott, who gained recognition for her role in “The Idol,” and Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford.
During his NFL career, Lynch amassed an impressive 10,413 rushing yards. His powerful runs and memorable “Beast Mode” plays made him a fan favorite, and he left an indelible mark on the teams he played for, including the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, and Oakland Raiders.
Lynch’s charismatic personality can also found on Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” broadcast, where he brings his unique brand of humor and insights to the pregame and halftime shows.
His presence has undoubtedly added an extra layer of entertainment to the football viewing experience.
