Golf influencer Paige Spiranac took to Twitter on Monday to reveal the multiple superstitions she has when it comes to sports, but by doing so, inadvertently jinxed her favorite team, though she argues otherwise.
Spiranac, 30, spoke of her golfing days at San Diego State University, whose men’s basketball team is currently in the Final Four stage of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
Since she didn’t want to jinx the Aztecs, Spiranac had not said anything about her alma mater’s accomplishments, claiming it doesn’t count that’s she’s mentioning it now.
“We need to talk,” Spiranac said. “So, I played golf at a university in San Diego. That school is now in the Final Four. I didn’t say anything about it, not a peep. And this doesn’t count ‘cus I’m not saying the school’s name. Does not count one bit. ‘Cus I’m very superstitious.
“And I feel if I would say something ‘cus I haven’t said something yet, that if I said something now, that it’s gonna be bad luck. So I’m not saying anything. And again, this does not count. I don’t care what you say. This does not count.”

Spiranac went on to reveal the little things she had to do in golf to gain an edge on her opponents, which may or may not have worked.
“In golf, I was also superstitious,” Spiranac said. “I would never use the golf ball with No. 1 on it. If I played well one day, I would eat that same breakfast for the next couple of days. I would only mark my ball with a quarter that was heads up.
“And you probably think I’m crazy because in golf, none of that worked for me. I mean, I didn’t make it. I didn’t play great, but still, there’s something up there that I just had to do it every single time.”
Spiranac continues to entertain followers with her takes on golf and other sports, but also with her incredible physique.
The influencer battle between Paige Spiranac and Grace Charis, a significant threat to her world’s No. 1 golf influencer ranking, has quieted down as
