Team Abu Dhabi despite a loss to New York Strikes in their final group stage game qualified for the playoffs in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022 edition. The Chris Lynn-led side has benefitted from the four consecutive wins in as many games, which saw them get eight points in a row, in addition to a tied game. The Abu Dhabi side has some of the great power-hitters in the world, however, it’s been Andrew Tye, who holds the Orange Cap (most wickets), who has been instrumental in his side reaching the playoffs. The home side missed the chance to make it to the first qualifier by a whisker, however, they will fancy themselves against an inconsistent Deccan Gladiators side.

The defending champions despite having the top two leading run-getters in the tournament in their ranks in skipper Nicholas Pooran and opening batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore, have blown hot and cold. The matches they have won, they have done it comprehensively but when the opposition has gotten these two out early, the batting line-up despite featuring the likes of Suresh Raina and Andre Russell has been found out on a couple of occasions. With no second chances now, expect the Gladiators to play like the champion tam they have.
