The Roshan family — Rakesh, Pinkie, and Hrithik — are quite active on social media where they keep sharing snippets from their workout sessions. In keeping with the trend, Hrithik Roshan and his mother Pinkie were seen indulging in some fun time at the gym, which Pinkie, 68, shared said was the ‘most special time’ she shared with her actor-son.
“Mother and son. We meet all the time for lunches, dinners, movies, and holidays, sharing our thoughts… But the most special time is when we’re sharing time in the gym together,” her caption read. Watch.
It’s not just about having a good time, partner workouts can also help one stay motivated and make exercising more fun. Don’t you agree?
Certified fitness trainer Sameeran Chetia elucidated, “When you are working out with a partner, both can encourage and motivate each other to raise the bar. Within the ambit of a friendly competition, one can also push the other a little harder — ultimately leading to better results. Also, whenever you are feeling low and are not in the mood for working out, a partner can help by helping you stay consistent with the workout regime.”
According to Chetia, having a partner also helps when lifting heavy weights as they can assist you during the workout and keep you safe.
Meanwhile, Pinkie has also been sharing glimpses from her workouts regularly — showing that age is just a number, and one’s mindset makes all the difference.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that the duo has been spotted together while working out.
Recall that Hrithik had also opened up about learning some yoga asanas from his mother, something he was “ecstatic” about. “Sharing some mama moments with you all on Mother’s Day. I took her for a movie she didn’t like much. And she taught me some yoga moves I am ecstatic about! Damn, mama actually knows a lot of good stuff about strength! Love you mama,” he wrote on Instagram as he shared a series of pictures.
And when talking about yoga, how can one not talk about meditation? Revealing how he has managed to work on his meditation skills, Hrithik, 47, shared, “When the diet and sleep score is on point, it feels so good”.
Sharing a photo from November 2022, Hrithik wrote, “Currently serving as a reminder not to deviate or let go too much while on kids spring break”.
Stressing how the two most common factors — diet and sleep — may seem simple but can make a huge the difference, Hrithik added, “It’s funny how food and sleep — the easy sounding ones — is where most of us fail (be)cause they require a quiet mind and content disciplined days. Training and gym is so simple cause it requires aggression which is somehow easier to access than quiet joy. What has helped me change my course and up my joy is meditation. Sounds so boring. But once you give it enough time, magical things happen. I started with 10 minutes a year ago. And today an hour seems less.”
