Titletown South Florida returns after a near month-long hiatus to talk baseball at midseason and high school football as we approach the spring season.
Miami Herald Deputy Sports Editor Andre Fernandez breaks down the seemingly-unstoppable Stoneman Douglas baseball team, which entered the week having won 37 consecutive games and fresh off two national championships.
Fernandez is joined by veteran baseball reporter Joe Frisaro of Scorebook Live to break down the Eagles as well as resurgent Archbishop McCarthy and several of the top prospects and talent from South Florida.
We are also joined once again by longtime football recruiting analyst and radio host Larry Blustein to talk about the impact of the increased football transfers this offseason. Schools like Miami Norland, Davie Western and Coconut Creek Monarch could be ready to challenge the status quo including national powerhouses such as Miami Central.
We also salute this week’s Player of the Week nominees from both Dade and Broward Counties ranging from baseball and softball to flag football as the spring sports season heats up.
NOTE: Remember in addition to watching this show on YouTube and on our site at miamiherald.com, it is now available as a podcast on our Titletown page. It is available on Spotify, ITunes and most other platforms where you listen to your pods. Thank you for watching and listening as always, and enjoy!
