Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program have extended an offer to Class of 2025 five-star Jasper Johnson. The Branson, Missouri native announced the offer via a post on his Instagram account.
Johnson began his high school career at Woodford County High School in Kentucky, as he announced in June that he would be taking his talents to Link Academy for his junior season. The 6-foot-4 combo guard has brought in some impressive offers of late, as the Tar Heels joined the likes of Auburn, Baylor, Kentucky, and others in pursuit of Johnson.
Currently, Johnson is ranked by 247Sports Composite as the top available player from the state of Missouri. He is also regarded as the third-best combo guard and the No. 12 overall player in the Class of 2025.
The UNC basketball program has now shifted its attention to this class, as they have a total of eight offers currently out to various student-athletes. It will remain to be seen if Johnson has visions of making his way from Link Academy to Chapel Hill like Cadeau did, as this could be the start of a very strong pipeline for the Tar Heels to take advantage of moving forward.
