The North Carolina Tar Heels have landed one player out of the transfer portal already as guard Paxson Wojcik pledged his commitment earlier this week. With a few roster spots to fill, Hubert Davis and his staff continue to be active in pursuing other targets.
And they just picked up a crystal ball prediction for another target.
Towson wing Nick Timberlake was on North Carolina’s campus Tuesday after Davis and the staff conducted an in-home visit a week ago. Now, UNC appears to be the frontrunner in the recruitment.
The Tar Heels do hold the lone prediction in Timberlake’s 247Sports crystal ball, with it being logged a few days ago. However, it’s NOT from a national analyst and instead is from an insider on the Maryland site from the network.
So we have to keep that in mind.
Timberlake averaged 17.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game last season while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.
He’s a player to continue to monitor in the portal as other teams are also showing interest as well.
