If you’re wondering what else Shay does to get so strong, you’re in luck. She previously opened up about her go-to forms of fitness and revealed that she committed to working out five days a week for four weeks with her friend Stephanie Shepherd as part of a partnership with the app Openfit.
“It changed everything,” Shay told Women’s Health. “I had way more energy; I don’t have five cups of coffee anymore. I can sound preachy when I’m talking about it, but it totally altered my year.”
During those four weeks, Shay and Stephanie had the help of celebrity trainer Kelsey Heenan. They often did a mix of cardio, strength training, and HIIT workouts, incorporating moves like jump squats, arm raises, leg raises, and squat presses.
As for her eating, Shay is a firm believer in moderation. “Truly, I’m not one who believes in diets,” she told Women’s Health.
For breakfast, she’ll reach for a glass of lemon water and a breakfast quesadilla with eggs, spinach, cheese, and olive oil. In the afternoon, she’ll have soup with some fruit. And for dinner, she opts for a balance of starch with vegetables.
BRB, I need to try that ab workout!
