CHATTANOOGA — The Chattanooga Mocs women’s tennis team heads west on I-40 and looks to remain perfect on the season with a Friday afternoon non-conference tilt at Middle Tennessee held at the Adams Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 2 p.m. ET.
Chattanooga (3-0) is looking to start the season 4-0 for the third time in the last four seasons after picking up three-straight wins to begin 2023. The Mocs most recently downed Lee University 6-1 on Sunday evening.
In my seven seasons here at Chattanooga, this is one of the best matches of the year,” said head coach Chad Camper.
“MTSU is talented top to bottom and looks to be having a great season. They are a very competitive team so each spot will be important for us to be successful.”
Chattanooga and MTSU have met 48 times in each of the program’s history with the Mocs holding a slight 26-22 all-time advantage after earning a 4-3 win last season. The two teams have met in each of the previous three seasons with MTSU winning two out of the three during the span.
MTSU is off to a 3-2 start to the 2023 campaign and carries a three-match win streak into Friday’s action against Chattanooga. The Blue Raiders have defeated Austin Peay, Georgia State and Bellarmine during its three-match win streak.
Live stats and video will be available for the match and can be found at the links above or on the schedule page. Full match results will be made available on GoMocs.com following conclusion of action.
