Paris Fashion Week is underway with a parade of inventive designs and street-style looks as Fashion Month comes to a close. One of the hottest tickets of the week is Valentino, which welcomed guests decked out in the fashion house’s signature pink shade. The front row was particularly stylish with celebrities like Florence Pugh, Erykah Badu, and Zendaya posing in the brand’s latest wares.
Zendaya wore a completely sheer catsuit layered under a miniskirt and an oversize blazer. All her pieces featured the brand’s classic logo in an allover print, allowing her to embrace the sheer, catsuit, and logomania trends in one perfect outfit. The “Euphoria” star kept her accessories elegant and complementary, styling the look with pointy-toe pumps and dazzling chandelier earrings.
Valentino’s Spring 2023 collection was similar in tone and design to Zendaya’s outfit, with plenty of sheer tops worn under blazers, capes, and trench coats. There was less color than in seasons prior, as creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli anchored the line in black separates, cutout dresses, and backless gowns. Sparkling embellishment was a new theme for spring, showing up on metallic trench coats, glittering miniskirts, and even sequined hoodies. But the sweeping red and shimmery lilac cape gowns were the pieces du jour this season, inspiring gasps and applause from the crowd as they glided down the runway.
